Here's what people are saying about our Boot Camp Weekends...

Hi Amanda,

WOW You certainly pushed me to my limits on the weekend, I came and believe I conquered what I wanted to set out to achieve, and that was to complete something that I started and not use any excuses to give up, even when it did hurt (and still does), I knew I was going into this Bootcamp with NO TRAINING OR PHYSICAL EXERCISE under my belt and my mission was to complete the journey.

How can it be possible for you to change my way of thinking and my outlook in 2 days???????

I know I will never be Wonder Woman but you have inspired me to continue doing something for myself, even if it is only starting with walking 4 times a week, it is a start, so for that I thank you......with that I would also like to express my gratitude towards yourself, Sue and my fellow Bootcampers in regards to the way I was accepted, I have all my life in all sports, come last, so coming into the Bootcamp was a huge obstacle for me to overcome with a massive lack of self confidence about my appearance when competing, in no way, shape or form did I ever feel as though I was being looked at or laughed at, yes I do acknowledge that I was challenged, but with yours and Sue’s motivation, those thoughts were quickly lost and forgotten about.

Ray was amazed, amused, excited but most of all proud when I relived my experiences with him at midnight on Sunday, well what’s a couple of more hours without sleep, and he said you have done an incredible job at keeping me motivated when I have simply given up in the past.

I am now looking forward to the Melbourne Bootcamp and have already signed up some friends to come as well.

Once again Amanda, you are a fantastic motivator......keep it up for those of us who are easily intimidated and a little less confident at physical activities!!!!!!

Cheers,

Meaghan & Ray Bonnici

2 Years ago after a mild heart attack i stopped smoking & started training with Amanda on a semi regular basis. Even so i was scared going into bootcamp but determined to give it a go.

Despite Amanda's best efforts to kill me i am happy to say that i not only survived but had more fun than i'd had in years.

As a 46 year old mother of 3 teens i was lacking in self confidence, stamina & my sense of both self & fun had diminished. Completing the weekend has given me such a boost i feel the old me creaking back to life & am looking forward to whatever challenges life throws at me.

My man & i are already booking a place at the next camp & all i can say is I'm invincible, bring it on!!!

Hi Amanda,

I just wanted to thank you and the rest of the guys n' gals who helped out on the
Boot Camp Weekend! I never would have thought i'd be able to conquer my fear of
heights and push myself past the pain barrier again and again. I not only made new
friends, you helped me realised I can do whatever I put my mind to and to never give
up, especially on the commando course, my legs felt like they had seized up, but you
said to 'give one round a go' and I was able to get through the entire round and
still run back to the dorms for a hot shower!

Everyone can take something away from this experience... from the yoga and martial
arts to the boxing and endurance running, orienteering and night river challenge,
climbing mountains and high ropes... the group fitness activities and best of all
diving into a mud pit at the end of the commando course was a blast! I'll be back
again that's for sure... as soon as I get the mud out of my eyes and ears ha ha!

Thanks for a great experience!

Di :)

Dont you find it funny how there are so many things you want to do in life and you always tell your self and others that I am going to do that ONE DAY. I dont know about you but that one day seems to get so far away, that you seem to lose site of it. Whats stopping us from doing the things we want to do, mine was EXCUSES EXCUSES until that ONE DAY was presented right in front of me, while I was at work her name was Amanda Buchanan.

Things truly happen for reason and luckily for me one of Amandas favourite places is the kebab shop where I work (Amanda calls them souvlaki). That day I did the whole I’d love to do a boot camp one day thing. Amanda said why cant you? Well without thinking out poured the excuses. I myself am an over weight girl even though it is hard I love to exercise, but my thoughts were what if I cant keep up, what if I give up?

Amanda reassured me and I felt so comfortable with her, truly an amazing person. I was packed and ready to go; I didnt know anyone at the camp. It was so exciting meeting all different sorts of people, in no time I felt like I belonged. It was truly one of the most uplifting experiences of my life.

It tested me mentally, physically and total pushed me to my limits. I learnt heaps about myself, loved every moment of it, AND I went to the next one with my 13yo daughter. We both had the best bonding experience.

It makes all the difference when you have great bunch of people there all supporting each other. No regrets and now that ONE DAY will always be sooner than later. After boot camp I know I can do anything.

Amanda thanks so much for loving kebabs. You rock girl

Hi Amanda

Just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU for the weekend!

I thoroughly enjoyed the fitness, learning new activities, being challenged in so many ways, getting wet and muddy(!!!!?????), and meeting new people with the same interest. Your organisation was amazing! It was well planned . . . it was great to have a variety of different activities so we didnt get bored, to be challenged in what we did, and to use different parts of the body.
You are an amazing woman! Your easy going nature, the way you encourage, your enthusiasm and ENERGY is a real credit to you. (You must have Duracell batteries in you!) And your fitness is out of this world!!!!! - a real inspiration to me!

So once again, thanks heaps for making it a fantastic weekend. Keep up the great work!

P.S. I must admit it is great being clean again (and clean hair!) and not being constantly sweaty.

Hi Amanda,

Just want to thank you for yet another fantastic boot camp, you are an inspiration to
me and many others.

The camp was well planned and executed i just loved every bit of it.

You seem to set your sessions and activities that form a teamsmanship between
everyone and that is half the battle when you can have fun as well as conquer your
workouts. I honestly thought being 42 short and slightly overweight i would struggle
but you encouraged me and i made it and feel so great about myself.
Will be there next time for sure, would not miss it for the world!

Surprisingly to me I found Boot Camp heaps of fun.

When I signed up I didnt quite know what to expect and had a few reservations as my fitness level was some what to be desired, but after the first hour I was having a blast. Its great that all levels of fitness can join in and you certainly dont feel bad or pressured to perform as well as those fitter than you. Boot camp was a great personal achievement for me and a real motivator to keep my fitness up. Amanda is brilliant to do Boot Camp with.
Well done on such an excellent program, see you in the next one.

Here's what people are saying about Amanda...

I first saw Amanda a few years ago at the Maroochydore swimming pool teaching her daughter how to swim. I was so impressed with how she was teaching her little girl i went and spoke to her and asked her about herself.

She told me she was a Personal Trainer and gave me her business card. I went home and googled her and was reading about her achievements for the rest of the night!

I had just finished a course in Personal Training myself and needed to find someone that would whip me into the shape I desired to be in and also for me to learn as much as I could about fitness and training being new to the business myself. So I then started a 12 week bodyblitz challenge with Amanda that would honestly change my life in many ways.

The first session I had with her I was in shock after our session and was not sure if I was ready for what was to lie ahead but I am so glad I came back because by the end of the 12 weeks I was unrecognisable. I lost 6% body fat and was fitter and stronger than I could ever have imagined I could ever be. I also came away with so much
knowledge and different training methods that I would not have learnt with years of experience in the fitness industry by myself.
She is an incredible Trainer, Mentor and friend and I am so blessed to have crossed her path.

I am now living in Ireland and miss her tortuous ways so much. I enjoyed almost every minute with Amanda and would do anything to be lucky enough to have her train me again. I still imagine she is there beside me when I am training myself and she still frightens the life out of me and makes me push myself harder but I would give anything for the real thing.

Thanks for everything Amanda
Hopefully someday soon you will make me reach my peak again. X
